There are several things you should take into consideration before supplying an APO/FPO address:
Restrictions: Before you use an APO/FPO address you must ensure that our products are not on any restricted list. Each country has customs regulations that apply to all incoming mail. These may include prohibitions on certain kinds of products.
* please note that if you are serving in the Middle East, we strongly suggest you provide a stateside address.
Delivery Method: Please note that orders going to APO/FPO address will only be sent by either Small Packet Air or Expedited Parcel (Light Packet is not available).
Shipping & Handling Fees: Expedited Parcel fees may not be the same as quoted on the website as they are based on stateside destinations.
Insurance: If a package is lost in the postal or military mail system, an insurance claim through Canada Post is faster for Expedited Parcel as there is a delivery confirmation number and a claim can be submitted after fourteen business days from date of shipment. Small Packet Air does not have a tracking number and any claims can only be submitted after fourty five business days from date of shipment.
Delivery Times: Sending a package via Expedited Parcel or Small Packet Air will take approximately 10 to 12 days to a stateside address, whereas a similiar package sent to an APO/FPO address may take approximately 25 to 35 days, although most are received earlier.
