CLEANING TIPS
BRASS PRODUCTS

We recommend using Nevr-Dull™ Magic Wadding Polish which consists of a unique non-scratching wadding impregnated with a special polishing solution.  It is perfect for cleaning and polishing, and safely removes tarnish and fingerprints.

Simply remove a piece of wadding from the can and gently rub it thoroughly over the surface to be polished.

Give a (gentle) wipe afterwards with a soft clean dry cloth to remove any excess Nevr-Dull and to give it a nice shine.

Please keep in mind that excessive cleaning (rubbing) of brass cases can remove the brass finish.

This is what Nevr-Dull™ is and where to get it.

NICKEL PRODUCTS

There is very little cleaning required with nickel products, but you may wish to touch them up every so often. If you do, follow the instructions above for brass products.

Please keep in mind that excessive cleaning (rubbing) of nickel cases can remove the nickel finish.

EAGLE / STAR PRODUCTS

For all Texas Star or Scalloped Stars on any of our Fancy style belt buckles, the antique silver and gold plating is very thin, use care and avoid excessive polishing or buffing.

BULLET PENS - RETRACTABLE

Try to keep the bullet hole of the pen tip free of debris; i.e. pocket lint, fluff, dust, dirt, etc.  A build-up of debris may jam the tip and interfere with the retractable function.  If this happens to your pen, disassemble the pen and clean.

INSTALLATION TIPS
GUITAR KNOBS

Holding your thumb over the primer, GENTLY push the guitar knob on a splined split pot shaft until it stops. DO NOT force it any further as the primer may pop out.

Once installed, your guitar knob can be difficult to remove, they are intended to be installed ONLY ONCE.

If you do try to remove a Double Shotgun Shell Knob, hold it by the bottom half of the knob to prevent them separating.

Tip:  The split is sometimes pushed together when factory knobs are installed.  To get a tighter fit when installing my guitar knobs, the splined split pot shaft may have to be slightly spread (you can use a wedge shape style screwdriver blade to gently spread them apart).
DRAWER and CABINET KNOBS

Our Drawer and Cabinet Knobs are designed to install on a 9/16" thick cupboard door/drawer.  8-32 bolt (supplied) requires approx a 11/64" to 3/16" hole to accommodate the bolt.  If you have a thicker/thinner application, you will have to go to your local hardware for your required length bolt.

When tightening, you will have 1/4" of play (travel) in the bolt.  DO NOT over tighten or you will strip the threads or push the primer out.

When installing, hold the stem of the knob to prevent turning and tighten the bolt gently, until finger snug.

Some variance can be taken up with the washer (supplied).
OTHER TIPS
BOLO TIE CARE

Gently wipe the Bolo Tie cord by hand with a clean damp cloth and to keep the cord fresh smelling, lightly spray the cord with Febreze™ Fabric Refresher.

Clean the brass or nickel shotgun shell heads (ends) as described above.  Be careful not to get Nevr-Dull™ on the cord.
HOW TO STORE A BOLO TIE

The best way to store your Bolo Tie is by hanging it on a tie rack, over a peg, or by laying it out straight and flat on a clean surface.  The cords usually have a "memory" and will look best if stored in a nicely aligned position rather than curled up.  When you first receive your Bolo Tie, as it has been folded in its package, the cord will have retained a folded memory.  Immediately remove your Bolo Tie from the package and hang it up straight.
BOLO TIE TIPS

When opening the Bolo Tie cord to put it over your head, DO NOT pull by the bolo tip, you may pull it right off.
MEMORIAL KEEPSAKE URN TIPS

The brass shotgun shell head without the keychain attached, is the end cap that you will remove to locate the glass vial.

When packed for shipping, this end cap is put on the plastic hull loosely.  We do this is so you can easily remove the end cap.

Fill the glass vial and insert it back inside the plastic hull.  Push the end cap on firmly until it is a tight fit.

Keep in mind that this end cap is designed for one time use only (for filling the glass vial).  Meaning, if you continually remove and replace the end cap, it will become looser over time.
