Our Standard Memorial Keepsake Urn is custom handmade starting with a large capacity rimless brass rifle case. Although shipped with a high hand polish, once filled, we suggest completely coating brass models with a sealant to prevent oxidation and to reduce the need for polishing.
There is no powder or live primers.
As our keepsake urns are individually hand crafted, each one is unique and subtly different in design and dimension. Approximate specifications are: |

The main body is a large capacity rifle case with a second case machined to fit the mouth very tightly, eliminating the need for solder or glues for permanent closure. These are shipped with a cord attached and is the only item strong enough to pull the cap from the main body (so it can be filled). If you try to pull the cap off with the other attachments we include, they will fail. By holding the main body in one hand, firmly grasping the cord and giving it a snap tug, the cap will pop loose. Once filled, you re-install the cap as tight as possible.
These containers are basically air tight, they are not designed to be waterproof, but will stay dry under normal circumstances. The caps are designed for limited use. If you continually open and close the cap, the fit, while still tight, will become looser over time.
