Individual handcrafted earrings are made using fired .22 Magnum brass rifle cases and new factory bullets. The fishhook ear wires are 22 gauge with 3mm loop and plated brass bead and coil. Made from surgical stainless steel ear wire (8% nickel). There is no powder or live primers.
Overall length of earrings is approx 2 3/4" and length of bullet only is approx 1 1/2". Weight of each earring is approx 0.1 oz (3 g). |

¹ African Turquoise is not true turquoise, but actually a jasper found in Africa, it has a matrix structure similar to that of turquoise, and is a light bluish-green. Each bead is also unique and will vary from one to another, see example.
² There are different grades of Jade, this "B.C. Jade" is most likely an enhanced stone from elsewhere. Without extensive testing, it is difficult to tell the difference between all the stones, see example.
³ Hematite is a silvery, shiny opaque gemstone that almost looks like metal. Like nearly all commercially available hematite beads, this hematite is a simulated material virtually identical to real hematite, see example.
4 Natural mother of pearl beads are made from mother of pearl that is naturally golden brown and has not been bleached to look white. To care for these unbleached semiprecious beads, be aware that alcohol will eat through the nacre, causing irreparable damage to the color and luster. Each bead is also unique and will vary from one to another, see example.

9 Shell Pearls are a cross between real and faux gemstone. Shell pearls are a genuine shell bead (usually mother of pearl) with a pearlized coating. The finish on shell pearls will sometimes exhibit pock marks and nicks, like a freshwater pearl. Shell pearls are easier to care for than natural pearls; they are much less affected by sweat, perfume and detergents, and have a more durable shine and color, see example.
Due to the varying quality of brass cases by each manufacturer, each earring will be distinct due to any minor marks or other blemishes on the brass cases. |
